云浮市，位于中国广东省中西部。1994年4月5日，经国务院批准，调整肇庆市行政区域，设立地级云浮市。全市总面积7779.1平方公里，人口250.8万人，其中农业人口174万人。
云浮是一个农业大市。目前已形成优质稻、蔬菜、水果、肉桂、茶叶、蚕桑、笋竹、松脂、禽畜、水产品等农业商品基地500多万亩，建立农业商品基地3788个。建成农业龙头企业50家，广东温氏食品集团、罗定市农工贸实业总公司、东宝食品工业有限公司成为省农业龙头企业，其中广东温氏食品集团不是全国农业产业化国家重点龙头企业，该企业去年产鸡苗1.6亿只，上市肉鸡1.39亿只，上市肉猪14.27万头，
年销售收入6.1亿元。新兴县是全国"持续高效农业技术研究与示范"7个A类示范区之一。
云浮农产品丰富。是西江流域闻名的" 鱼米之乡"、"水果之乡"，各种名、优、特、稀农产品驰名远近。2000年，全市粮食总产达100万吨，其中稻谷产量84万吨；
花生产量4万多吨；水果面积80多万亩，其中荔枝26万亩，产量1.8万吨，龙眼13万亩，产量1.6万吨，柑桔橙 11万亩，产量4万多吨蚕桑6万多亩，蚕茧产量7000多吨；茶叶4万多亩，产量30000多吨
；蔬菜面积50多万亩，产量60多万吨；肉桂面积80多万亩，桂皮产量9000多吨，桂油产量400多吨；肉类总产量17.3
万吨，主要是猪、鸡、鸭；水产品产量6万多吨。
全市名、优、特、稀农产品主要有：新兴县的香荔、凉果、肉鸡、新兴排粉、瘦肉型猪、虾苗、塘鲺苗、水果、天堂花生油、梅菜芯等；云城区的思劳贡柑、云楼瘦肉型猪、杨柳大冬瓜、南乳花生、鼓油膏等；办定市的高香型茶、泗纶蒸笼、罗定豆鼓、加益兔、美国青蛙、桂皮桂油、松香、蚕丝等；郁南县的无核黄皮、优质龙眼、宝珠黑叶荔、高秀竹木制品、桂皮桂油、罗旁蜜枣、西江鲒等；云安县的托洞腐竹、前夕排粉、南盛笋竹、南盛柑桔、中华鳖等。

Yunfu Municipality is located in the central-west of Guangdong
Province, China, with a total area of 7779.1 sq km and a population
of 2.5 million, including an agricultural population of 1.74
million. On April 5. 1994, authorized by the State Council,
the administrative division of Zhaoqing was reset and Yunfu
Municipality was set up as a new city at prefecture level.
Yunfu is a large municipality in point of agriculture development,
with over 0.33 million hectare of bases for agricultural commodities
such as quality rice, vegetable, fruit, cassia, tea, silkworm
cocoon, bamboo shoot, rosin, animal husbandry and aquatic products.
There are 3788 agriculture commercial bases and 50 leading enterprises.
Guangdong Wen's Food (Group) Company, Luoding Agricultural-
Industrial-Trade Company, Dongbao Foodstuff Company Ltd have
become leading agricultural enterprises at the Provincial level.
Guangdong Wen's Food (Group) Company, a key leading enterprise
of agricultural industrialization in China, has a production
output of 0.16 billion birds of breed chicks, 0.139 billion
birds of table chicken and 0.14 million heads of porkers on
the market, with an annual sales income of RMB￥ 1.61 billion.
Xinxing County, where the enterprise is located, has become
one of the seven Class A Zones of "Sustainable High Efficient
Research and Demonstration on Agricultural Technology"
in China.
Known as "a land of fish and rice" and "a
land of fruits" in the Xijiang River Valley, Yunfu is
rich in agricultural products and is renowned far and near
for its brand-name, quality, special and rare farm produce.
In 2000, the production of Yunfu's farm produce was as follows:
One million tons of grain, including 0.84 million tons of
rice; over 0.04 million tons of peanut; over 0.53 million
hectare of fruit, including 0.17 million hectare of Litchi
with an output of 0.02 million tons; 0.08 million hectare
of Longan, 0.016 million tons; 0.07 million hectare of oranges,
over 0.04 million tons; 0.04 million hectare of silkworm cocoon,
over 7 thousand tons; 0.03 million hectare of tea, over 3
thousand tons; 0.34 million hectare of vegetable, over 0.6
million tons; 0.54 million hectare of cassia , over 9 thousand
tons of cassia bark and 4 hundred tons of cassia oil. The
gross output of meat was 0.173 million tons, including pork,
chicken and duck. The gross output of aquatic products was
0.06 million tons.
The famous, quality, special and rare farm produce in Yunfu
Municipality mainly are: litchi, preserved fruit, chicken,
rice noodles, lean meat porkers, shrimp fry, local catfish
fry, fruit, peanut oil and pickles in Xinxing County; tribute
honey orange, lean meat porkers, white gourd, mastic peanut
and bean sauce paste in Yuncheng District; natural sweet-smelling
tea, food steamer, preserved black bean, rabbit, American
frog, cassia bark and oil, rosin and silkworm cocoon in Luoding
City; seedless Huangpi fruit, quality longan, black leaf litchi,
bamboo and wooden products for garden use, cassia bark and
oil, candied jujube, Xijiang River catfish in Yu'nan County;
dried bean milk, rice noodles, bamboo shoots, oranges, Chinese
soft-shelled turtle in Yun'an County.
